In January, Power Across Texas' Advisory Board and Corporate Members met in Austin for a Strategy Session to ensure PAT's mission was filling an appropriate vacuum in the energy market and to identify projects that PAT should focus on during 2010 and 2011.

Before the Strategy Session, the Board and Members enjoyed a reception with Speaker of the Texas House, Joe Straus, a tour of the Capitol with State Representative Phil King, a Roundtable discussion with Public Utility Commission Chairman Barry Smitherman, and a presentation and Q/A session with Railroad Commissioner Elizabeth Ames Jones.

Rebecca A. Klein (Chairman of Power Across Texas) and Missy Mandell led an interesting and lively discussion at the Strategy Session.  A refined version of PAT's mission was identified and goals were developed for the next two years.

We have a lot of exciting plans for upcoming Power Minutes and expansion of some of the PAT initiatives that have already been successful in educating Texans on energy issues that affect our daily lives, so continue to stay tuned!
